Modern Luxe, Minimal Cost: Wedding Invites on a Minimalist Budget

ree

For many brides who have dreamed about a big, fancy wedding, the cost is often a major obstacle. The price of everything involved in throwing a luxe, stylish wedding has only increased exponentially, and sometimes it can feel impossible to have an event that feels elevated without leaving you financially drained. But your invitations can set the tone for your wedding and impress your guests from the moment they open your envelope (or your digital invite!) And luckily, there are many ways to send modern and chic invitations that are still affordable.

LUXE DESIGN/COLOR SCHEME

The first thing to look at when selecting your wedding invitations is the design. You don't need ornate, baroque ornamentation to present an upscale look. Minimalist typography and simple layouts actually present a high-end, old-money look in their subtlety and class. Along with this, look at the color scheme. Neutral palettes, such as mocha, beige, cream tones, and ivory, as well as the classic black and white color scheme, both tend to look luxe and more expensive than they are.

BUDGET PAPER & ALL-IN-ONE INVITATIONS

Once you've decided on your layout and color scheme, it's time to choose the invitation form. Of course you can wait for a sale and then hopefully snag those quality card-stock invitations, but that's not your only option. Here on our website there are many examples of budget paper invites. These are printed on 4.5" x 5.6" semi-gloss paper and are about half the price of our standard card stock invitations, which makes them especially perfect if you're throwing a large or limited budget wedding where the price of every invitation matters. To make things even more affordable, you can chose an all-in-one budget paper invitation, which includes a space for wedding details, as well as a QR code to RSVP, on the back of the sheet. This eliminates the need to pay for additional enclosure cards and can really drive down the cost.

If you'd rather stick with the traditional card stock version, these are also available in the all-in-one style mentioned above. However, another option here is a foldable all-in-one invitation with an RSVP card attached, which your guests can easily detach and return. This type of invitation actually seals itself, so you don't even need an outer envelope. Or you can add a budget insert card - these can be small, inexpensive 2"x2" cards with a scannable QR code that leads guests to your wedding website to get more details or to RSVP online.

DIGITAL IS ALSO AN OPTION!

Finally, digital wedding invitations are always an option! Most of the standard, card stock invitations on our website are also available in a digital version. If your guests are fairly technologically adept, these can be a very budget-friendly way to invite them without worrying about so much as postage! Of course, if there are some guests who you know to be more resistant to online invitations, you can simply purchase just enough of your standard invitations and response cards to send to them, while sending a digital invite to your other guests. If you'd like to go with a digital invitation, just click the "Buy Now" button on most of the standard invitations on our website, and you'll find a digital option on the product page you are taken to on Zazzle.

If you are still looking for your perfect luxe invitation on a budget, please feel free to contact us through the website! We'd be happy to offer you a few choices that just might include your dream wedding invitation. And here are the links to the entire wedding collections on Zazzle for all of the elegant invitations shown above:
